Vietnam has exotic, breath taking, natural landscapes (something that I love to photograph). I didn’t had the enough time to visit the north of this country which would be for me the most interesting part (and the weather was not so invited either).

The highlight in the South was Can Tho, in the Delta Mekong, with floating Markets and Rice Noodle Factories. From Ho Chi Minh, a busy and crowded city, I went to Kon Tum, a small town where you can visit the minorities villages, dozens of churches and miles and miles of coffee plantations and rubber-tree fields. Let me say that the blossom of the coffe trees has the most amazing smell (even better than Jasmin).

The trip started to be more interesting in Hoi An, a beautiful riverside old town with Japanese and Chinese legacy, with nice shops to get some souvernirs. Just across the river, I couldn’t miss Duy Hai, a small and non-tourist fisherman village. Da Nang, a cosmopolite city with it’s skyscrapers and bridges, its a really nice place to go to the beach and for some night photos.

Phong Nha National Park, a must go!! One of my favourite places in Vietnam, with dozens of beautiful caves inside of that limestone landscape, where you can swim in a cristal clear river, do slide, kayaking, trekking, … Just to let you know that the biggest cave in the world can only be visited by only 10 persons a week and the expedition costs 3000 usd (one day I will go there). Cat Bah and Ha Long Bay … breathtaking (even with rain, cold and fog)!!! My advice is to stay in Cat Bah to explore the beautiful island and take a boat tour trough Ha Long Bay. This way you will avoid most of the crowd.
