The wonders of the sea

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
Jacques Yves Cousteau

One of my passions is scuba diving and underwater photography.

When I was a child, I remember to spend part of my weekends in front of the TV watching the National Geographic documentaries and being amazed with the Mother Nature. My favorite ones were about the ocean!

In 2008 I had the chance to try Scuba Diving in Cape Verde (Sal Island). In those turquoise and warm waters, with so many fish and things to see, I was happy. Next year, in Portugal, I was taking my first dive certification, and not even the cold waters prevented me from wanting to see more. One year latter, for the first time, I felt that I was living inside of one of those National Geographic documentaries … I was diving in the Red Sea, Egipt, with colourful schools of fishes, inside of wrecks with so many stories to tell.

The first diving piece of gear that I bought, after I took my PADI Open Water it wasn’t the suite, the regulator neither the dive computer. It was the housing for my Canon G9. Since then, most of my dives have been with a camera in my hands: Canon G9, Nikon D70, Nikon D7100, Nikon D7200 and even a GoPro.

I love to share with everyone my underwater world.
