Sumba Island has been one of my favourite places to explore, people are friendly and smiling and visiting villages is like travelling in time. So I couldn’t had chosen a better place to start with this Insta Blog of mine.
Kodi is located in the extreme west of Sumba Island and during the last 3 years it’s my first choice when I have some free time. The popularity of this it’s increasing along the last couple of months and most of the tourists visiting Sumba nowadays will stop in Weekuri Lake, Rantengarro Village or even go further and explore the Bwana Beach.
Some of the locals finds this area “not safe”, but so far I haven’t had anything else apart from warm welcoming and smiles.
I shared this incredible adventure with Mary Tilson and Patrick Gather. Unfortunately I was to excited giving polaroids and I completely forgot of getting “the insta moment” of the locals with their own photo.
