Lately I’ve been spending more time based in Bali, doing a lot of computer work and not as much as I wanted on the field, exploring my beautiful Sumba, showing the island to Nihi guests and capturing the moments.

Then this month I was asked to go back for a week and host some guests that were interested on photos: Surf, Sumba Foundation, Culture, …

Tolga and Esra, a great and super nice couple, came to Nihi to surf and they took home some nice surf memories.
They are the founders of an incredible project: Cashmere in Love, an incredible luxury knitwear brand that offers beautiful cashmere clothes beyond the usual classic cuts and colours. Since the materials play a central role for Esra (the designer), I suggested them to visit some of the local villages so they could see the traditions and the ikats (the Sumba traditional blankets).

I took them to Praijing Village in a rainy afternoon, but the Sumba Gods were happy and offer us a sunny break.
After explaining this recent project of mine, they were keen on distributing some inta-smiles along the village.

These are some of the moments of that week.
